  The 11 p.m. Christmas Eve service featured a play unrelated to the celebration of Jesus' birth. I wondered at the irrelevance but stayed hoping for a tie-in until the dialogue's "Oh, crap!" That unchurchlike, unChristmasy crudeness chased me away -- lest the performers intended to sing "Oh, Holy Crap."
  
  What has happened to LCMS? Didn't it used to follow the Bible, respect tradition, and frown on vulgarity? It doesn't now. How disappointing!
